How Luminxo Recommends Credit Cards

Luminxo uses a scoring engine to evaluate every credit card against your financial profile. No guesswork — just data-driven recommendations.

1

Enter Your Profile

Provide your credit score and annual income. Optionally customize your monthly spending breakdown across categories like dining, groceries, travel, and more.

2

We Evaluate Every Card

Our scoring engine analyzes each credit card in our database against your profile. It considers credit score compatibility, category-specific reward rates, annual fees, signup bonuses, and approval probability.

3

Cards Are Ranked Transparently

Each card receives a fit score (0–100) based on how well it matches your financial profile. The ranking considers net annual value — rewards earned minus fees paid — so you see the real financial impact.

4

You Decide

Browse your personalized results, compare cards side by side, and see exactly why each card was recommended. When you're ready, apply directly through the issuer.

What the Scoring Engine Considers

Credit Score Match

How well your credit score aligns with the card's required range. Cards where you're near the middle of the range score higher than those at the edge.

Category Reward Fit

How much you'd actually earn based on YOUR spending patterns. A 5% dining card matters more if you spend $400/month eating out than $50.

Net Annual Value

Total rewards earned minus annual fee, annualized over the first year including signup bonus value. This is the bottom-line financial impact.

Approval Probability

An estimate of how likely you are to be approved based on your credit score relative to the card's typical approval range.

Affiliate Disclosure

Luminxo earns a commission when you apply for a credit card through our affiliate links. This does not affect card rankings — the scoring engine evaluates cards identically regardless of affiliate status. Cards with higher affiliate payouts do not receive higher scores.
